Hi: The highest resolution I can set my Aspire One ZG5 on is 1024x600. I have run across at least two applications that won't install if the screen resolution is below 1024x768. One of them gives you a nice message and the other just hung.

Anyway, i inadvertantly ran across a solution. If you connect an external monitor to the laptop then you can change the screen resolution to higher than 1024x600. Then software that won't install below 1024x600 will install.

    best regards,
    russ

You can get around this easy enough Go to display properties settings and the advanced button, go to monitor and uncheck the Hide modes box.

You can set the screen to 1024x768 and see everything fine, you just have to scroll up and down on the main screen. I needed this for my Blackberry software.

    Works fine !
