    Hello,

I had to remove the rear cover of my Acer Aspire 5735Z laptop. Seven screws needed to be removed. Three very small black rubber(?) O rings, under 2mm in diameter, dropped out as I removed the cover. Does anyone know where they should go and does it matter if they are not reinserted?

    Many thanks.

IMO they could be there to keep the screws from vibrating loose and if so a little blue locktite would do just as well. You could get a tube of silicon gasket sealant from a auto parts store and the put some grease on the screw then apply some of the sealant to the screw and shape it so it is not too big and once it is dry then it should unscrew from the screw showing it is not stuck then use the new seal as replacements for the O ring.
