    Hi all

Does anyone know if we will ever be able to use the sim card slot under the battery or is it just for future models?

    Thanks!

I have read somewhere that the slot is there for future models only, so if you are an early adopter and own a One with an empty SIM slot, this space cannot be used by retrofitting a module as there are no connections in place. You would have to use a USB 3G dongle.

you can see a cover just near the battery and that is the only cover allow you to remove easily, and the position is just near the slot, my guess is that slot is used to install 3G module, if acer provide drivers, i think it is possible to install a 3G module in the future!

Yes, it is possible. But you have to remember about miniPCI slot and SIM card holder... It is a lot of soldering...
