    Hi all, total newbie here!
Just bought Aspire One A110 at weekend.

Trying to watch itv.com video online, the Windows o/s uses Silverlight to run it. Have done a bit of looking and found an application called Moonlight, which I think is the Linux version. Anyone got any suggestions to get this working? Any advice greatly appreciated!

Did anyone try this and have any success? My missus wants to use the ITV on Demand which requires silverlight.

I've got the default firefox 2 on her AAO110AB machine, but I've done the usual fiddling of enabling the advanced desktop, removing the search bar, etc, and I gather some things don't work when installing due to Acer's own versions of some packages, so I don't really want to go installing things wily nilly.

Which leds me onto another question for another thread, so I'll leave it there.

I downloaded the Moonlight plugin which works fine, but...

ITV have now changed to Silverlight 2.0! Reading up on Moonlight, looks as if the Moonlight 2.0 wont be available till later next year.

I contacted someone who sent me this email, which does work :

ITV altered their site a while ago to prevent the add-on from working.
They also changed their terms and conditions to disallow plugins "which
change the content" of the ITV site...

As a result there's a new version of the add-on that's slightly less
    simple to use:
    http://chris.orr.me.uk/caughtup/xpi/caughtup-1.2b2.xpi

Now you get a wee TV icon down on the Firefox status bar. When you're
on a Catch Up video page, you can click that icon to get a list of TV
programmes on the page. Just choose the programme you want to watch and
then things should play as normal.

I tried the link and it worked fine but unfortunately you still can't watch thhings like backstage clips etc, which is not on the itv player/catchup. Does anyone know if there's any way of making those available?

Don't worry, firefox prompted me to update to catchup 1.4 and now I can watch all of the backstage clips. Thanks for the original link!
