I just got word that my One (XP 6-cell) is on it's way! It should be here (Vancouver Island) tomorrow. Can't. Wait.

got a picture of what the 6 cell looks like? Does yours have the politically correct keyboard for Canada?

Like everyone else I keep hitting the extra key next to the Z, but I am getting used to it. I am using US International mapping, which is what I used on my desktop, and all seems well.

THX for the pictures....gee there sure are alot of characters on those keys
I guess there is a mapping program that will address some of the issues of the international keyboard.....so is the 6 cell version physically any different other than the weight?

6 cell itself is physically heavier than 3 cell.

Yes, in the XP Control Panel under Regional and Language Options you can choose any keyboard layout (or more than one) to go with your chosen language. You can see all the layouts here:
    http://www.microsoft.com/globaldev/reference/keyboards.mspx

I think it's also possible to custom map individual keys but I haven't gotten into that yet.

Received mine. The sleeve is the right one for the 6 cell. It doesn't come back from sleep mode when you close the lid.
The battery is heavy, but the capacity of the 3 cell version is too weak.

Overall very pleased with the speed for light usage.

Good buy, but prices will melt.

oh man, must've sucked to have a dead pixel. Hopefully, mine is okay without defects. :|

i tried to price match ESNG's $409 price, but NCIX said they can't price match something they already shipped. I Paid $429 pre order >_> and waited for them for a few weeks.

lucky you, mine was in back order since one week at Tigerdirect.ca, send directly by Acer and I've missed the purolator guy and now I have to ride to the nowhere zone somewhere in the island of Montreal... Next time I'll order from CDW, at last they seems more serious with their stock....
By the way, I'm French (living in Canada) and this so-called bilingual keyboards is non-sense... and awful. I don't see the point, it will bother both English speaker (typer ^_^) and French people.... actually may be that it makes it genuinely canadian :-D sorry, I just can't not to do it :-D but just look at this @ key.... no-sense at all.... o_O and why green????

well, if you want to type the @ with the french-canadian keyboard, just alt car + the green @ (key 2)
but you'd prefer removing the mapping
so you can see a blue "CA" icon in the task bar --> CA is for french canadian (yest I know), right click on it, you see "keyboard layout settings", click on it, the rest is easy.. ;-)
