Has anyone tried running SL on the one?
If so what kind of performance did you get out of it?
I'm looking to just use for general upload of textures, a bit of IM and the occasional small build.

I'm not really into SL but I did try it out of curiosity. Under WinXP with 512MB RAM it gave a message saying that the machine did not meet the minimum specs (probably because of shared video RAM) so that SL requires a minimum 512MB. This is less because of the amount the video uses. It did however run but very slowly and wasn't really usable. After upgrading to 1.5GB performance was much better and would I think be OK if the graphics setting are turned down.

    Correct, I have a AA1 with 1.5 gb ram and 8gb C drive.
    Second life runs "just".
It is playeable on the lowest specs.
