    Hi all,

I've followed the instructions on installing FF3 on my 1gb AA1 and it all worked fine. The browser works, the other icons also work and run FF3 correctly. The only problem is the search box on the desktop. When I try to use it, it says "Could not run command fsearch http://search.yahoo.com/search?&p=test". Failed to execute child process "fsearch" (Permission denied).

I followed the Macles instructions here http://macles.blogspot.com/2008/07/installing-firefox-3-on-acer-aspire-one.html and it was working but it was running FF 2.0.0.14 so i tried one of the comments from Macles which was the following commands :

    sudo ln -s /opt/firefox/firefox /usr/bin/fsearch
    sudo sed -i.bak s:firefox:fsearch: /usr/bin/acer-search-desktop

This appears to have stuffed it up!. Can anyone help a linux newbie please?

    Cheers
    Richard

The search box is useless. Delete it. Find it in Macles' blog.
