    Before i start. i'm still a bit lost with linux, so please be gentle!

    Firstly, is there a way that i can modify the search bar so that there is an option like "internet" and "desktop" avaliable in the drop-down menu that will let me enter console commands?

    Secondly, is there any way to get rid of the corners of the underlying graphic to leave just the lozenge shaped search bar?
