Screen wont come on

    i have been cleaning my laptop .stripped it down completely renewed the thermal paste
    cleaned the fan and everything else i could see.put it back together .plugged it in .
    and now the screen wont come on.all the lights come on, but when i press the on/off button i can hear a click.i have stripped it again and made sure all the connections are connected and they are. then i tried unplugging it took out the battery, and held the power button down for 60 seconds. then tried again it came on .
    it was a blue screen with two choices on one said your battery is low.
    i think the other said set time date. but i dont know where to go from here. also it is getting warm around the fan area.

    my laptop is a Toshiba satellite c855-itc
    hope somebody can help.
