screen flickers at lowest brightness setting

    well not exactly flicker but it does dim out for a 1/10 of a sec or so every few seconds. any body else noticed this? i just want to know if this is normal. if i increase brightness,, i dont see it anymore.

    What BIOS version you have?? There was some issue with brightness settings and LCD flickering in old BIOSes...

    my bios is v0.3114
    VGA BIOS version Intel V1585

    i just brought it yesterday from NCIX in canada. Did i get a old unit?? :cry:

    No. Unit is fine. BIOS is outdated. Upgrade to new one and will be perfect...
