sata or sata 2?

    looking to swap a SSD in place of my HDD and most are SATA2. is this compatible?

    The SATA 2 specification mandates backwards compatibility with SATA 1 controllers. A SATA 2 device should therefore work in your AA1, albeit with reduced performance (1.5Gbps instead of the full 3.0Gbps supported by SATA 2).
