Resolution stuck at 1024 on acer 522

    hi all,

    I just purchased a acer 522, this comes with a resolution of 1280x720, however all I can select is 1024 resolution, have tried everything i uninstalled ati drivers and reinstalled newer ones,

    still have no option to change to 1280x720,

    what is wrong does anyone know? i really want to get the resolution on 1280x720,

    its running win 7 starter too

    to me, the one comes with 1GB DDR3 is 1024x600, and 2GB DDR3 is 1280x720

    Got mine today wtih 1GB ram. Booted it once and it looked like it was 1280x720 then upgraded to 4GB Ram and Windows 7 x64 and that is also running fine at 1280x720 with the latest AMD catalyst drivers installed. I am pretty sure even with 1GB RAM and Windows started it should be 1280x720 out of the box.

    I also have an Acer Aspire 522 with resolution 1024x600 (Windows 7 and 1GB RAM) - disappointed as had seen the Acer 522 advertised as having 720p video...

    I have tried 2 of these netbooks now and looked at 2 in currys and they all max out at 1024x600 !! Anyone sorted this problem yet ??

    They definitely run at 1280x720. You sure you have the 522 and not the 521? I would suggest to anyone having graphics issues to completely uninstall your display drivers and download the latest version of catalyst display drivers from AMD. http://support.amd.com/us/gpudownload/Pages/index.aspx
