Hello Acer Forums! I have bought a new laptop with the following specifications:
    • Model: Acer Aspire A514-54
    • Processor: Intel Core i5-1135G7
    • Graphics card: Intel Iris Xe Graphics(integrated)
    • Memory: 8 GB
    • Storage: A 256 GB NVMe SSD and a 1 TB Hard drive
I wish to install Linux on this device, but I have read that laptops with 11th gen Intel CPUs have iRST enabled which is incompatible with Linux, so I wish to replace it with AHCI. However, upon entering the BIOS, I found that there is no mention of RST or AHCI mentioned in there. However there is a setting for Intel VMD. Is this the same as RST? If yes then will disabling this be enough?
