Removing User Icons on Default Messenger

    I like the default messenger program on the aspire one, but the user icons are on and I don't know how to turn them off. By user icons I mean the pictures to the left of the conversation dialog boxes that take up 1/3 of the IM windows. Does anyone know how to disable them?
