Removing fan from VAIO

    VAIO VGN NR11Z running very slow and at 90 degress c. So am cleaning and want to check if it has dust under fan. How do i remove the fan, see photo.

    Welcome to the laptop forums site

    Take a look at this video at 1.22 minutes it shows you what's there's under
    the copper heat pipe, it looks like both the cpu and graphic chips are soldered
    to the motherboard , it look like the one you are pointing to is the graphics chip

    The cable will pull off the motherboard.

    Thanks. The CPU is not soldered. It comes out, see the arrow pointing to black circular with the slot on the pink rectangular piece. It is turned to get the CPU out. The keyboard does not have to come out to access the fan or get the back off as per the link at https://s30.postimg.org/p3f4xv6c1/cpu2.jpg
