I know nothing about this stuff. Can I safely use a 19V 3.16A laptop power adapter with the Aspire One?

    Thanks

    Cheers.

Depends. You should look up what the output values on the default AA1 powersupply are (more than those amps and especially Volts values you shouldn't try - a bit less than those might still work), and the plug itself should be identical as well (not to mention that the + and - sides shouldn't be reversed).

Should be fine, the Acer brick is 19V at 1.6A, so anything supplying 19V at more than 1.6A will work. The laptop will only draw as much curtent as it needs.

Turns out it is fine. Amount of amps doesn't matter as long as there is enough. What matters is the volts output.

    Thanks

    Cheers.
