Recovery from a live usb disk

    Hi
    I need to restore my Aspire one and keep getting error 39 (and a krashed main partition) on my stationary computer when I try to make a recovery usb unit. I realized that I don't get any errors when I choose the USB disk as a partition to install linus on. So I wonder. Is it possible use the live usb disk to restore my laptop?
