i just got my aao and install 8.10. i think i was able to get sickboys kernel installed too (thanks sickboy). sound, wifi and card readers (left and right with my sandisk ultra II 4g) seem to all be working well. my 16g adat eepc turbo card is not recognized though. kind of bummed since i bought it to use in this machine.

so what 16g cards work with ubuntu and sickboys kernel?

    cheer!

find the kernel posted by RockDoctor @

    http://soleil.nfldinet.com/~rockdoctor/aa1_kernel.html

Install that header and image, then

create a file called /etc/modprobe.d/aa1 with the following
    Code:
        # To enable card slots when empty at boot
        options pciehp pciehp_force=1
        # From post on lkml
        options sdhci debug_quirks=1
