    Dear Friends:

I am trying to locate the part numbers for the new six-hour batteries. I am assuming they come in different colors, as do the machines.

Also: Any palce online to order them?

    Thanks in advance!

    My Friends:

This guy has two versions of the 6-cell battery in stock: One for $95, and the other for $159.98. He says the only difference is the manufacturer, plus the expensive one only comes in black. He also sells some other Acer Aspire One parts. His info:

My new Aspire One came today and the battery is black (while the unit is blue) so it's not color coordinated.

Here is the battery part number: UM08B73

The battery is made by Simplo and the Simplo p/n = 934T333300F

I bought a white 6600mAh battery, part number UM08A73, from http://www.superetrader.co.uk for £49.98 plus £2.99 for UK delivery.

They also sell a blue version (which I assume is black?).

The battery appears to be an OEM version made by Cameron Sino with a model number of CS-ACZG5DB.

It gives between 6.5 to 9 (!) hours depending on wifi, brightness etc on an 8Gig SSD model. Very nice and a reasonable price.

Hmm. So far, the best I have gotten is about 6.5 hours.

The Cameron Sino battery really is blue. It's almost, but not quite the same shade as the Aspire One blue, and is matt instead of glossy. But who cares?? The battery life will probably be at least six hours; I haven't managed to discharge mine beyond that yet.

For those with the large, 6600-MAH battery: how far does it extend past the actual shell of the AA1? Pics? That really bothered me about the 6-cells, and I was going to buy one to swap in and out perhaps, but if there's an even larger one I can use that's like $10 more ... why not?
