Computer boots with Cursor flashing top left corner .It stays their for a while
sometimes reboots, other times I have to power it off take the Battery out.
Boots normally but after a couple of minutes the Mouse Pointer freezes up. HD light stays on Solid green
if i leave it for a while the screen goes black won't respond have to Power off and start again.
this only started happening yesterday morning.
Have installed a n extra Gig of ram about 2 weeks ago.
running linux 8Gig HD and 1.5Gig ram.
    Thanks for any advice
    Ian

    Hi
    An Update
Removed the extra Gig of ram I had installed, the One seems to be behaving itself
apart from the fact that it reboots twice Nine times out of Ten if it's been shut down or has to be rebooted.
The freezing of the mouse pointer seems to be gone for the time being hoping it doesn't return.
So I'm wondering could it have been the Ram ? ,it was Crucial Ram. Checked their sight before buying said it was the correct one for the Acer..

I think you have a problem with the SSD.

The rebooting twice thing is when it runs a disk check (fsck). I imagine it's finding and 'fixing' lots of problems.

Can anyone point to how to check this on Linpus?

Definately doesn't sound like a RAM problem.

    Hope this helps!

    Thanks for the reply
It's been doing a single Boot today whether it will stay that way I don't know
I've only had it a Month and I'm wondering whether it's worth taking it back to PC World for
    them to look at.
Or it might just leave it see if it keeps working normally
would like to put the Ram back not sure if that was causing the Original problem ?
