Quit icon option gone after basic upgrade to xcfe

    Hi. New to this linux thing.....
    Ive just done the 1st basic alteration of the desk top which introduces the right click = windows style drop menu to access os and home content only. I haven't altered the 4 box desktop style yet.

    However i now see that if i click on the quit icon in the bottom right of bottom menu bar,all the previous options , sleep etc are no longer there. Instead, i get just a blank aspire blue screen which retains the search bar but nothing else. Also the AAO doesnt shut down it just stays like this . I have to press the real physical start button to close it down. Dont feel right . Any advice welcome.

    well they came back... but dont ask me why or how ???
