    Hi guys,I'm moving out to college and I need a laptop for gaming and browsing.
    My budget : around $1000 USD
    So I'm looking for a
    15" - 16" screen,
    with an optical drive just in case for assignments.

    After browsing for awhile I read about PWM screen,Since I usually play/browse for hours at times, So I'm currently looking for a laptop without PWM.

    Any suggestion guys?

    I have a question to ask,,What is a PWM laptop/ screen? I don't know what that is and I have never heard of it actually. I suppose it is supposed to be superior in some kind of way. I would like to find a laptop battery replacement for my Lenovo Thinkpad. That is what I really need to do. That would be the best thing. I am just interested to find out.

    PWM = Pulse Width Modulation
    basically a PWM screen will flickers when you reduce the brightness and it's bad for your eye.
    I just found out my self. you can just google it.
