problem after installing ram

hi,
i installed 1 gb into my AAO and now when i boot up it will stay on for about a minute and then will just crash / shutdown. the caps lock light flashes every second and the battery light flashes every 2 seconds even though no power cord is put in.
can anyone help with this?

Try to disconnect power and remove battery. Wait couple of minutes and have another go. Helped with mine...

before i read your comment, i took the ram out and it worked fine, then i put the ram back in and it didnt work again, i tryed ...
the ram is some cheap stuff off play so do you think it may just be the ram?

If your RAM is not on the supported list then it was a gamble.
The good thing is that ram is cheap.
