Possible to limit percent of charge to prolong battery life

    according to this article, a battery, when fully charged and exposed to the temperature level in a laptop, will degrade very fast. The best way to store a battery is to have it around 40% charge. Can anyone make a tool that limit the charge to 40%-60% for the battery instead of the usual 100%?
