Portable external hard drive shows up as webcam

I have a portable hard drive (usb powered) that is showing up as webcam #2, #3, or #4 depending on which usb port I plug it into. Does anybody know why it isn't showing up as a hard drive? Shows up as hard drive on PC. TIA

Edit: Nevermind. A good ol' rebooting fixed the problem. I rebooted with the drive plugged in. Weird though.
