Has anyone tried installing OSX86 on Acer Aspire 721?

    Basic specs of this netbook
    =======================
Processor: AMD Athlon™ II Neo Processor K125 1.7ghz
    Memory: 2GB (2/0) DDR3 SDRAM
Video: Integrated ATI Radeon™ HD 4225 (384MB dedicated memory)

I've googled posts and osx86 wiki but didnt find much in HCLs

Just curious to know if its even possible to install mac os on this netbook.

I am also very interested in this 11.6" screen model as an upgrade to my D150.
Any success story with Snow Leopard?

So I've been searching all over... didnt find anything, decided to go ahead anyways.

What do you think is the most suitable candidate(deneb, iAtkos, snowX, iPC) considering the Aspire 721 configuration:

    AMD Athlon™ II Neo Processor K125 (1MB L2 cache 1.70GHz)
    ATI Radeon™ HD 4225 graphics

    Please suggest. Thanks

I can't seem to find anything related to the 721, nor the 521. I'm assuming the normal AO installations won't work as we are using different hardware, but I don't have any evidence to back that up.

Any help would be great. :)

    Downloaded iAtkos 7 for Intel/AMD
    http://www.kickasstorrents.com/iatkos-7 ... 12258.html

Then, followed these instructions line-by-line to create a bootable USB iAtkos using Disk Utility & OSX86Tools on a mac.

When I try booting on the Aspire 721 from usb it doesn't do anything. I get a blank black screen with the blinking white caret on the upper left corner.

I'm out of ideas... anyone got any?

A little change this time and one step further...

Installed Chameleon EFI using OSX86Tools 1.0.149. You can find this at

    http://code.google.com/p/osx86tools/dow ... p&can=1&q=

All goes well with the boot up till I hit the first install screen. The keyboard and touchpad doesn't work. Dont have an external one attached.

I might need to find a way to change the Kext, iAtkos 7 uses.

I have used iAtkos S3 v2 before with other laptops. I am going to try it on my 721 today. I will let you know of how it goes, and hopefully get a good install :D

    *Edit*

So I have tried 3 different versions, and a retail, and they all hang at booting the installer. I cannot get any further. Guess we are out of luck :(
