Maybe there is something I can do to enhance this, but Windows 7 just goes through my 3-cell battery in about 90 minutes. I am using the default power profiles that came with W7, and have not installed any Acer software, just the bare bones drivers, that's it.

Has anyone tweaked a good power profile or found a good tool to use to help balance power and battery life?

Why don't you simply look at the power profile you have chosen and adapt to your needs?
A good resource for your current power drain is the tool BatteryBar.

Well, and I am already using BatteryBar to get some statistics. Just didn't know if anyone has discovered things that particularly cause the battery to wear down fast in the world of Windows 7.
