notification-daemon-xfce is a xfce replacement for gnome's notification-daemon. If you're running xfce, which you are, then you shouldn't be trying to use gnome's version. They conflict with one another. The OP hasn't stated why he needs the gnome version or what he's trying to do.

    Cheers.

    Finally a solution:

    Hi everybody,

I have found a solution for number 2. I don't speak English that well, hope you can understandme.

This is what I had to do to fix it. (It was soo simple and fast):

Open "Add/Remove Software", then go to "search" tab.
Now you have to search: "notification-daemon"
Then you'll get three options and one of those is "notification-daemon-xfce" (which is selected), and there is another one named "notification-daemon" (without -xfce, this is the one we're going to install).
Then you have to select "notification-daemon", and unselect "notification-daemon-xfce".
    Apply changes, y listo!

    That worked for me.

I hope this could help someone.
    Cheers from Mexico.
