So what exactly is the 2nd partition on the SSD (barely over a gigabyte). I noticed in the File Manager in Linpus it said about 6.5gb, and when I went to go install XP I noticed it says it's got two partitions, the one I saw in the old OS and this other partition (of course XP sees both as Unknown)

I don't plan on keeping XP on permantely, just a test run to see how slow it is, but I was wondering what this was before I wiped it.

The second partition is a swap partition equivalent to a Windows page file, you can safely delete it, though you may wish to create another (maybe smaller) one when you reinstall linux if the recovery DVD doesn't handle that for you.
