No wired ethernet, no DHCP, wifi seems OK.

    Last night I just plugged the Aspire one into an ethernet socket which
    works fine (via DHCP) for other computers. The aspire one just takes
    ages and never connects. Sometimes it pups up the "disconnected"
    message. Sometimes it just keeps trying for ever.

    "sudo route" shows now routes
    /etc/resolv.conf is empty
    "sudo dhclient eth0" get stuck and eventually says
    "No DHCPOFFERS recieved"

    Any ideas?
