    All

I've just installed VLC (and updated my links to the Fedora repository, as per the sticky) - but I now have no sound coming through speakers or headphones. Initially, I could use MediaMaster to play MP3s.. so the hardware *was* working correctly. I've just installed Amorak - and I get no sounds in that package either. And confirming - MP3s via MediaMaster are loud (ish) and clear (ish)

So - as a Linux noob I'm rather confused. Do VLC or Amorak need some sort of permission to run correctly? Are the speakers in the One controlled by some "gadget"?

    Thanks

    Jon

From the terminal (<ALT> + <F2>) run "alsamixer"

Ensure PCM is set to max (100<>100)
