no place to type administrator password

    Cannot install any new programs or change anything. Acer One Aspire Windows 7. Screen comes up- User Account Control
    Says" Do you want to allow the following program to make changes to this computer?" Underneath there are two boxes. Yes and No. No is the only one highlighted. Only option. Tried clicking Yes. No place to type the password. Computer was given to me. Saw him use the password and wrote password down. What's missing here? Thank you thank you thank you

    What model AAO due you have?
    What version of Win 7 are you using?
