    Hi all,

Am connected via wireless on my AAO 8Gb running Hardy and everything is running smoothly but am noticing that wireless networks or even the wireless signal bars are not showing up in the nm-applet...for instance, hovering over it reads "Wired network connection" although am connected via wifi...and clicking on it the only options I can see in there are Wired Network / Connect to 802.1X Protected Wired Network and Manual Configuration...no mention of Wireless. Worse: when I click on "Connection Information" while right-clicking on the applet, it shows that the active connection is Ethernet (eth0)...

Any ideas how to fix this ?

    Thanks

Do you have access to the wireless settings under "Manual configuration"? Make sure it's set to roaming, otherwise the wifi list is not shown.
