New XP install. batt meter doesnt display time

    Just installed a custom XP, and my battery meter only displays percentage left not time left.? is there a fix for this.(driver)???

    if i am not mistaken. it takes a few min or Percent of use to calculate the time remaining.

    I am having other battery issues.. After my upgrade to bios 1.05 (from 1.00) my time really changed.

    i went from about 8 hours (both tools) reamaining to 7 in the microsoft tool and less then 6 in "battery bar V3.0".

    I am wondering if the bios lost some efficiancy or changed the way it reads the battery.

    (intresting, as i was typing this, it just shot to 96% / 9:38 hours remaining in microsoft meter.. i think it lies)


    I forgot i upgraded to 2gigs of ram, I dont think that would eat over an hour of life.

    Edit: i found my problem. there was indead a bios update for the battery.
