Great, so this is why I have noticed my internet speed is kinda slower lately??? No wonder! I did reserve my copy, but I have decided not to upgrade anytime soon, because... why fix something that is not even broken? I love the way things are now. This does sound so sinister, shady and not respectful at all. Not cool at all! It's like they really want to force this new OS on us.

It's like Windows 10 was created with only first world countries in mind with their comfortable unlimited internet subscriptions lol. Thanks for the warning. My brother back home can only afford a 500 MB per day plan on his internet, and I told him to upgrade to windows 10... I forgot that windows 10 has forced updates like that, I guess I'll have to tell him before it's too late.

Yeah, I've noticed that lately too. I have a large bandwidth allowance so it's not a big deal, but I still don't like it when companies shove enormous updates down your throat without at least asking first. It's the same thing with game patches - they get forced on you, and you need to actively stop them if you don't want to destroy your daily allowance.

All you have to do with this is enable the metered connection option in your Wi-Fi settings. Do a search from your start menu for "Change Wi-Fi Settings". launch it and toggle the option under advanced settings for it. Problem solved. In general mandatory security updates are a good thing contrary to the outcry over it.
