New laptop for Photoshop/lightroom

    Hello all, I was hoping to get a little advice on what laptop to buy for Photoshop/Lightroom. I normally use Photoshop but I also use Lightroom occasionally as well. I have a Lenovo Ideapad 300 which is crazy slow when using Photoshop or Lightroom. I realize that some of my files are a little large(raw files of course) and I sometimes need to align north of 100 pictures using auto align in Photoshop when I am doing astro photography. I am very much a rookie photographer and I know even less about laptops! But I am getting better and am using Photoshop more and more. Now I need a better laptop with out breaking the bank. I live in Canada and was hoping to spend between $1000-1500. Is it possible to get a decent laptop at that price point?
