NEW Higher capacity SSD, more RAM, 6 cell battery config!!!

    Hey guys,

    Was just browsing the acer website and came across this!
    There seems to be more configurations too, but this is the only one I'm really interested in... hopefully the SSD is a bit faster. I'm out to return my new aspire one 8GB for this.. good thing I just bought it!!

    Please let us know how it goes as I am thinking for purchasing the same one.
    Its between that and the Acer Aspire one AOA150-1983 Net book Intel Atom N270(1.60GHz) 8.9" Wide SVGA 1GB Memory DDR2 533 160GB HDD Intel GMA950 - with 6cell.
    I want battery life, and am thinking the 16GB SS is the way to go.

    Sorry, JakeE, if I wasn't clear in my inquiry. I'd like to know which manufacturer makes the 16GB SSD, not which online retailers carry AA1 models with it. Thanks.

    Thanks for the heads up.

    It looks like this is available in Canada, as I found it on http://www.acer.ca. Some Canadian websites have it, but it seems like only smaller places, or my knowledge of Canadian online retailers is weak.

    But, I am in the US, as this config is not shown on us.acer.com.

    Anyone have any ideas if this config (16 GB SSD, 1 GB RAM, 6 cell battery) will be available elsewhere?

    Also, does anyone know the partition configuration for the 8 GB or 16 GB SSD?

    It shows up as SATA_P-SSD1800 so I am guessing it comes from the same place as the 8G ones (Samsung?)

    Newegg is showing the 16GB SSD. I figured it was probably just as slow as the 8 GB but would love to be wrong. Also, the one that they are showing only has (apparently) the 3 cell battery as they're showing battery to be 3 hours.

    (This is the USA site.)
