    I remember reading somewhere that it would be the 18th, as in TODAY. But, I've been waiting for some sort of notification from amazon (I preordered my through them) and haven't gotten anything yet.

    I'll try to find the source for that claim and post it in a moment.

    Thanks! I already have a laptop, a Sony Vaio which is brand new but this would be ideal since I travel and is enough for me. I'd rather wait and get 40gb extra hard drive since it's the same amount of money!

    They're charging way more than Amazon though; I can wait a month and save $50 :)

    Correction: CDW and Amazon.com are charging the same amount for the unit: $400. However, as I've written in another thread:

    the end cost to me is more from CDW.

    Yeah, I'm sorry, that's what I meant. :) I guess I'll have to wait some more; I'm not really in a hurry for it but when I want something I want it like yesterday!LOL

    does anyone know if this new 160GB model will have the 3G simcard slot in the back enabled?
    that would definitely let me decide for the AA1 instead of the new 160GB eeepc 1000h.
