In my short acquaintance with an AAO (Linpus 8GB SSD) I have been very impressed. On the face of it it seems as responsive as many a notebook from my past.

Has anyone done or can they point me to a comparison of Atom-based netbook(s) with Windows-based, older, Celeron or Pentium notebooks, the pre-multicore ones?

Where are their real weaknesses? A list post I once read (somewhere) spoke of using one as a smallish home server. The running cost and the lack of his need for true server multitasking must have been a feature. Hacking on a bigger HDD or two might be possible. Any netbook servers here?
