I've found instructions on how to do this in Ubuntu's built in printing functions... but I can't seam to find how to get it to work on the Aspire One's Linpus Lite. Any help would be highly appreciated. Thanks.

Have you tried installing the Gutenprint CUPS drivers in Linpus. They work with other Linux OS. The problem I found with Linpus was that it didn't allow LPD/LPR printing only IPP. The CUPS services are usually access through your browser on http://localhost:631 from here you can add a printer and set up to use LPD/LPR so you should be able to connect to your printer by using the IP address and printer spool number. Gutenprint contains drivers for a good range of printers.
