Need to install Google Earth on Linux

    Hi all,

    I need to install Google Earth on my Aspire One, I have downloaded the Linux Version but Add/Remove Programs could not see it when i search to install. Also in the download files, Type is unknown. How do i make it work? I have searched everywhere in Google earth site but no definite Solution as to step by step on installing it in linux. Pls help!

    I would be leary of installing something like Google Earth on an AA1. This is a lightweight machine, mostly intended for "cloud computing," not a replacement for a desktop or full-featured laptop. In my experience, Google Earth is a pretty resource-intensive application. Paraphrasing Dr. Johnson, "Running Google Earth on an AA1 is like a dog's walking on his hind legs. It is not done well; but you are surprised to find it done at all."
