Need some help with my acer aspire

    Just bought my aspire one home and it works great. The only problem is, I would like to install my usb modem, but since its linux I need a specific driver. If anyone can point me in the right direction, that would be great.

    It might help if you were a bit more specific about this modem. What exactly is it, what manufacturer, what chipset? There are lots of them!

    Its a Huawei E 169G, hope thats enough info, if you need more let me know.

    Ah, right, so a 3g dongle rather than a phone modem.

    Thanks, but doesnt really tell me much. I know I need Gnome-ppp, but beyond that I know nothing. A good how to would be great.

    Ok, I followed the instructions found here:

    But I need the correct info for austria and cant seem to find it.
