Need help from a fellow Aspire One user with a windows unit

    Hey guys,

    If anyone here has a Windows unit with the e-recovery partition but running linux somehow (USB CDROM with knoppix) or something please let me know

    Basically I need a copy of the Acer MBR so I can re-enable the eRecovery, I accidentally overwrote the mbr...

    Thanks dude

    In the end I ended up finding a way to restore the MBR that allows for the erecovery to work by copying mbrwrwin.exe and rtmbr.bin from the restore partition, disable D2D recovery in the bios, booting up a windows install on the Aspire one and running
    Code:
    mbrwrwin.exe install rtmbr.bin
    After doing that you just need to re-enable D2D and you're good to go again.
