I have looked up lenovo ideapad y500 and y510p. I have decided that it will not be my choice because of the multiple reviews of the track pad and keyboard are not functioning well. I am wary of windows 8. However my mind can be change.

Please help, my current hp dv7-3183cl is in a horrible shape, I can only use it thru safe mode. I need to purchase the laptop this week so it can get to me quicker. However if there is recommendation for better value laptop with great build quality and specs, I am all ears.

Also, if there are any owners or have used one of the three laptops stated above, please tell me their experience
I have only selected sager/clevo because of the great reviews of their build quality and specs but I have never own one or no anyone that had own one.
