    Hey there...

    Today I got my new Kingston 8 GB SDHC-Card... I put in at first in the left slot... and? nothing happened... Then I'd put it into the right slot and?! nothing happened too! Then I put it into my "big" Notebook and Vista recognized the card.... I formatted it with FAT32 and tried it again, but no reaction :-/

    Does anyone have an idea what i should do?

    Oh! I own the 110L... With the standard Linpus-System...

    Thank you very much!

    Greetings from Germany,
    Alex

    Have you enabled advanced mode yet?

    Insert your card and then type "dmesg" (without quote) over terminal window to see kernel message related to your problem.

    Hi at all!

    Sorry for my late answer... I'm a little bit busy at the moment...

    @sid:
    what do you mean with "advanced mode"? I'd activate the Xfce-Menu, not more at the moment... All other stuff I'll do over the terminal... I think, that's enough for me... But for specific or advanced tasks I'll ask before I'll do something wrong... I'm not that good at linux, but a friend of me could me help at some questions...

    @blackhawk:

    Here's what I see if I type dmesg:

    Code:
    [user@localhost ~]$ dmesg

    I think the last thing is my SD-Card... But why I can't see it or use it?

    I tried to format it in Fat32 and exFat (via Windows Vista)... But nothing happens...

    Greetings and thanks,
    Alex

    edit:
    Right now I'd plug in my USB-Stick and nothing happens, too?! Curios...

    Hi there again...

    Today I'd had to recover my system because some other stuff... And now everything works fine and the card was easily recognized... I think I'd damaged something or do something wrong (maybe during I tried to install NTFS-support...)...

    But thank you very much for the help!

    Greetings,
    Alex

    Hi there,

    it's me again...

    It seems that my AAO sometimes recognize the SDHC-Card and sometimes it won't work?! I don't why... Yesterday when I came from work everything was perfect... The card was recognized and I got at least about 14 GB. Yesterday evening I got only about 6 GB (I just turned the AAO off and later on again). Later (some restart's later) the card was recognized again. And today it won't work again...

    Did someone have any ideas?!

    That's really annoying :(

    Greetings,
    Alex

    edit2:
    Got it back to work! If I boot without the Card and put it when it's powered on, the card works perfect... But it seems if I boot with the card the Extension won't work and no USB-Flashdrives (i hope that's the right word) would be recognized... After the reboot everything work's fine again... Very, very curios...

    Here's the output of dmesg when the card works:

    I emailed Acer about this and they told me that Linux might not fully work with SDHC cards until later updates, they said that although the hardware can take the cards, the Linux versions dont seem to be able to take them all the time like the Windows versions can.. Thats why im a bit put off about buying a 16 or 32gb card
