My Documents and Video folders not working from Desktop!

    Hello, am very new to all of this, I have managed to get the advanced menu working, however, I am a bit stumped with my Desktop shortcuts. If I click on my Documents or my Videos, nothing happens. When I go to File Manager, on the left hand side of the box, my Documents folder and my Videos folder are not there. Can anyone tell me how to get them back and maybe fix the shortcuts? (Acer Aspire One, Linux lite). Many thanks. :?:
