My cradle4 mod for call to power 2 pc game wont work, PLEASE HELP!

Hi, i am new here. I was able to play it sometime last year or before but my laptop had to be rebooted and start over as new due to a computer virus or something like that and I transferred the mod file or program using my flash drive to onto my rebooted laptop. When i start the mod by running it in administrator I get a direct x error that says: "you must support 16 bits per pixel at a resolution of 800x600 or higher" I am not sure what to do. How do i get this mod to playable?
