    Dear Members
On my 3rd Aspire One day I managed to stop the mousepad from working.
Running EMACS I closed the lid for a while. When I resumed typing the mousepad was no longer responding. Side keys or pad.
All keyboard keys work so I could shut down and reboot but still no pad.
Can anyone suggest something to try before going for the rescue disk.

    Thanks in advance

    Edit. OOPS!!!!!!!
Fn F7 toggles the mouse pad on and off.

Try pressing then blue Fn key and F7. This key combination is used to turn the touch pad on and off. :)

Have no idea if this will work or not, but I had a similar problem on my first day with my Ao1.

When you restart your machine, you may notice that if you move the cursor constantly from restart that it will move. I had to restart a few times doing this "constant movement" with the cursor to get it working again.

    Hope this helps.

Edit: Now I see your edit. Glad your prob is fixed!
