Yikez I don't think i'll be updating to windows 10 any time soon, last night I was asked if I wanted to update for a one more trial and I denied it. I'm glad I did after reading the articles you posted. Thanks for post these btw, great info to have.

I haven't updated yet and I won't until I get rid of this laptop :p It's annoying though, because Windows keeps insisting on me updating, but I say: NO THANKS. As far as I know Windows 10 blows! I can only hope that by the time I have to buy a new laptop Windows 10 has been improved.

If they knowinlgy pulled that stuff it was a really shady move. I'm not planning on updating to W10 anytime soon, my girlfriend did and although I feel it is a huge improvement from W8 I'm not really convinced . So let me get this straight, you can't deactivate the automatic updates?
