Bonjour,
Avec mon AAO, mini-pe sur une clef usb serait vraiment pratique . ;)
je boot sur la clef usb , je fais un ghost sur une autre clef usb et j'ai une solution compacte , rapide et fiable de restauration .
Est-ce faisable ?

Moi aussi j'aimerais bien savoir.

Peut-être que ce n'est pas une bonne idée que de s'exprimer en français ici. Si tout le monde utilise le langage qui lui tente, ça deviendra rapidement le bordel.

I'll be receiving my One before the end of the week, I hope. NCIX received shipments today.

You are right, it should work because the One can boot from a USB drive.
I remember some people here using USB and USB-cardreader installed OS's.



Edit: Oh, and it would be a nice thing if you could ask in english, since it's the main language of the forum. That way you can get more help, and also other people reading this forum can get help from the same posts. Ofcourse, if you don't speak english, we understand if you use your native language and ask for translation help.
 
I sort of do understand french, but too bad that I am asian, soooo, I suck at it, but I live in Canada!! :P

I'm used to go to two same presentation website for aspire one : one in french and one in english ..

So my question is :
Do you know how to do a bootable usb thumb with PE on it ?

I can read French (mais pas tres bien ;) , but it'd be nice to explain what 'PE' stands for in the first place? It's not an abbreviation I'm immediately familiar with, and I've been meddling with IT sinds the mid-1980's. A French tech term perchance?
 
PE , 'minipe' is a bootable cd wit a lot of useful programs to tune or backup your PC ;)
(ghost, explorer, partitions ....)
Boot is on ram disk so you can see /change all files on HD
